Privacy Notice

How we look after your personal information

This notice explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, send us an enquiry or book us, why we need it, who we share it with and the rights you have. If you have any questions, email us at enquiries@papped.uk.

01Who we are

PAPPED Events Co is owned and run by Chelsea Heaney and is based in the North West of England. We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice (in data protection law, we are the "controller").

Contact. Email enquiries@papped.uk or message @pappedeventsco on Instagram.

02What we collect

When you send an enquiry. Your name, email address and, if you give them, your phone number, Instagram handle and business name. We also collect your event details (type of event, date, venue, guest numbers and timings), the package you are interested in, how you would like your content shared and anything else you tell us in your message.

When you book. The details on your booking form, such as your address, your contact on the day and their phone number, your suppliers, key timings, any people who must not be filmed and the moments you want captured. We also keep a record of your payments.

At your event. Photos and videos of you, your guests and your event. See section 6.

When you visit our website. We do not use analytics or tracking. Like any website, our host and the font service described in section 4 receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type so they can show you the page.

03Why we use it

To answer your enquiry. We use your enquiry details to check our availability, reply to you and send you a quote. We do this because you have asked us to, before entering into a contract with you.

To deliver your booking. We use your booking details to plan, capture, edit and deliver your content, and to take payment. We need to do this to carry out our contract with you.

To keep proper records. We keep booking and payment records because the law requires us to keep business and tax records.

To share our work. We may use selected content from your event on our website and social media, as explained in our terms and conditions. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to show our work, and you can ask us not to at any time. We will always follow the sharing choice you give us when you enquire or book.

We will never sell your information or use it for anything you would not reasonably expect.

04Who we share it with

We only share your information with the services we need to run PAPPED:

FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) receives the details you type into our enquiry form and forwards them to our inbox.

Our email provider stores the emails we send and receive.

Our website host delivers this website to your browser.

Google Fonts supplies the fonts this website uses, so your browser connects to Google when you load a page.

Our file delivery service hosts the secure link we use to send you your content.

A replacement creator, only if Chelsea cannot attend because of illness or an emergency and you agree to the replacement (see our terms and conditions).

Some of these services may store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. We may also share information if the law requires us to.

05How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become a booking. We delete these within 12 months of our last contact with you.

Bookings and payments. We keep these for 6 years after your event, because we must keep business and tax records.

Your content. Your download link stays live for 14 days. We may keep selected content for our portfolio unless you have asked us to keep your event private.

06Photos and videos of you and your guests

Guests. We ask clients to let their guests know that content is being captured and may be shared online. If you are a guest and would rather not appear, tell us on the day or email us afterwards and we will do our best to leave you out or take you down.

Children. We will not post content on our own channels where a child is the main focus unless we have been told their parent or guardian is happy for us to do so.

Taking content down. If you appear in something we have posted and would like it removed, email enquiries@papped.uk and we will remove it from our own website and social media.

07Cookies

Our website does not set any cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

08Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your information
  • ask us to limit how we use your information
  • object to us using your information, including for our portfolio
  • ask us to send your information to you or someone else in a usable format

Some of these rights only apply in certain situations. To use any of them, email enquiries@papped.uk. We will reply within one month and there is normally no charge.

09Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
